Debra obtained her master’s in Education from Stanford, is a Nationally Board Certified high school teacher, and is currently pursuing her MBA. After graduating from Stanford, she was a founding teacher at Summit Prep Charter High School, where she taught Spanish, mentored students, and participated in their Educator Leadership Program. She worked as a Virtual Instructor with Imagine Learning, where she was a 2x finalist for Teacher of the Year. After college, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Ecuador, where she taught AIDS prevention, started a sex education radio program for youth, and created community banks. After her service, she worked as a language trainer for the Peace Corps and authored their Spanish language training manual called ¿Mande?. She was interviewed on the ‘Best Advice Show’ podcast in an episode called, “Learning Languages with Debra Allison.”
